The Tarragona Carnival begins its program with the 26th edition of the Disfressa d'Or this Sunday, February 8, at the Tarraco Arena, featuring 13 participating troupes.

The Disfressa d'Or (Golden Costume), the first major event of the Tarragona Carnival, celebrates its 26th edition this year by returning to its usual location, the Tarraco Arena. This is the main novelty after the event was forced to move to the Palau Firal i de Congressos de Tarragona last year.
The show will start at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, and will feature the participation of thirteen troupes displaying their best costumes. These include Fotem-li Canya, Amics de la Part Alta, Magic Dansa, Calours Fantasy, Som i Serem, Golden Time, Aerodance, La Bóta, La Ballaruga, Artífex, Disc 45, Carmelites, and Platinum.
The event will be presented by communicators Guillem Estadella and Gemma Polo. There will also be a special performance by the troupes Sinhus and Urban Style, who are responsible this year for representing the Carnival Queen (Reina Carnestoltes) and the Concubine (Concubí), respectively.
The Disfressa d'Or is organized by Abril Produccions and the Tarragona City Council (Ajuntament de Tarragona). Interest is high, as more than 3,500 tickets have been sold, with fewer than 300 remaining available, priced between 22 and 27.5 euros.
