The total free use of the C-32, implemented following the traffic collapse caused by the closure of the AP-7 near Gelida, is partially ending. Starting midnight this Friday, drivers traveling towards Barcelona will have to pay the corresponding toll.
This decision, made by the Servei Català de Trànsit, aims to prevent the C-32 from becoming congested, given that the lanes of the AP-7 heading towards Barcelona are now open to traffic.
However, circulation towards Tarragona will remain completely free. This exemption will stay in effect as long as the total closure of the AP-7 in that direction continues, due to repair work on the collapsed wall in Gelida.
Regarding the repair work in Gelida, progress is reported to be good. It is anticipated that the highway could reopen two or three lanes during the week of February 9, although the final date will depend on weather conditions.
