The exhibition, which is part of the MAMT's special 50th-anniversary program, was inaugurated last Friday in an event led by the president of the Diputació de Tarragona, Noemí Llauradó, and the Deputy for Social and Cultural Promotion, Óscar Sánchez.
ADQ_S_C_NS MAMT [ i+] features about forty diverse pieces, ranging from paintings and sculptures to contemporary tapestries and, for the first time, comics. Notable artists include Josep Royo, Joaquim Mir, Joan Rom, Ariadna Parreu, Mariaelena Roqué, Mari Chordà, and Francesc Tosquelles.
“"It becomes one of the great exhibitions of this 2026 at the MAMT and throughout the region, as it places the museum's most emblematic works in dialogue with the additions made over the last 5 years."
This project aims to reflect contemporary creative diversity, focusing on work lines such as the recognition of contemporary tapestry, feminist and territorial revision, and the exploration of experimental avant-gardes. The collection is viewed as a living, transforming organism committed to the community.
