The General Director of Televisión Española, Sergio Calderón, stated that this will be the "most powerful" edition of the festival. Mikel Herzog Jr., from Cambrils, will compete with the emotional song "Mi mitad" in the first semi-final on Tuesday, February 10.
“"I feel like a child with new shoes. I have never hosted a festival of this magnitude."
Herzog Jr. recently finished third in the latest edition of Tu cara me suena and has also performed in the musical Asesinato para dos at the Luchana Theatres in Madrid.
The hosting quartet includes Jesús Vázquez, making his debut on RTVE after decades at Telecinco, alongside Javier Ambrossi, Inés Hernand, and Lalachus. A major highlight is the return of Chanel, the Benidorm Fest 2022 winner, who will perform as a guest artist during the grand final on February 14.
In addition to the traditional bronze microphone, the winning entry will receive a cash prize of 150,000 euros gross, with 100,000 euros allocated to the performers and 50,000 euros to the song's authors, aiming to consolidate the contest as an essential event for Spanish music.
