The celebrations will kick off on Saturday, February 7, with a musical parade featuring twenty musicians dressed as chefs, who will tour the central streets of Tarragona and Reus. The main public activity will be on Saturday, February 14, at noon in Plaça Corsini, in front of the Tarragona Central Market, offering a popular tasting of romesco with fish and local DO wines for 500 people.
On Sunday, February 15, the focus will shift to Reus, specifically the Museu del Vermut (awarded a Solete Guía Repsol). Starting at 12:30 p.m., vermouth will be served with tapas prepared by renowned chefs, including Ramón Freixa, who will reinterpret an iconic museum tapa for 5 euros.
“"We are very happy to be able to work side by side with Catalonia to bring this unique gastronomy closer to the public. Because cooking belongs to everyone, not just the elites, and Guía seeks to democratize gastronomy so that people can enjoy it."
Simultaneously, the Consorci de Comerç, Artesania i Moda de Catalunya will activate the 'Ets Un Sol' (You Are a Sol) campaign to promote local commerce in both cities. Citizens who shop at local businesses will receive tickets with Guía Repsol gifts and can participate in a raffle for five double passes to attend the Gala on February 16.
