Several R-16 line users, particularly those traveling from the Ebre region, were left stranded at Tarragona station on Thursday morning following the unexpected suspension of the rail service.

The waiting area of Tarragona station looked desolate on Thursday morning, with few users waiting for the service to resume or for family members to pick them up. The platforms were empty, occupied only by security staff and Renfe workers, with five convoys stopped on the tracks. Informers told arriving passengers that the service was suspended.
One of those affected was Marga, an R-16 traveler who had boarded the train in l'Ametlla de Mar. Her indignation stemmed from the fact that they were not informed that the regional service would terminate in Tarragona until they reached Vila-seca.

"It's rubbish, it's an uncertainty."

In addition to the lack of prior information, users complained that the operator did not offer any alternative transport service to continue their journey, increasing the feeling of desperation and uncertainty among those affected.
