Demolition work on the traditional La Pineda Sand Nativity Scene began on Friday, January 9, after receiving more than 250,000 visitors since December 1.

The special team from the Municipal Brigade and technicians from the Municipal Tourism Board are responsible for dismantling the sand structure starting at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 9. This initiative, celebrating its 26th edition on La Pineda beach, has been a resounding success.
The Vila-seca council confirmed that public attendance exceeded 250,000 visitors until January 6, a figure similar to that recorded the previous year. To quantify this attendance, a sensor system located near the nativity scene was used to count the passage of people via their mobile phone signals.

"this initiative continues to be a benchmark for family tourism on the Costa Daurada, attracting visitors of all ages and offering a unique experience that combines ephemeral art, tradition, and activities for the whole family"

Lluïsa Clavé · President of the Vila-seca Municipal Tourism Board
Despite the challenges posed by the weather during the exhibition period, the nativity scene consolidated its presence thanks to new dimensions that reinforced its visual impact. The event reaffirms the commitment of Vila-seca and La Pineda to responsible tourism and quality family leisure.
