The Gandesa Town Council has launched the Aparadors amb versos initiative to commemorate World Poetry Day on March 21st, turning commercial streets into an open-air literary museum.

The cultural proposal involves 28 establishments in the capital of Terra Alta. These businesses have installed vinyls featuring fragments of works by local poets, creating a route that merges economic revitalization with the promotion of local lyrics. The project is a collaboration between the Unió de Comerciants de Gandesa and the Poemes al Vent association.

"The goal is for poetry to leave the books and become part of the daily life of the town, while highlighting local commerce and regional creators."

Carles Luz · Mayor of Gandesa
In addition to the visual route, a photography contest has been organized on Instagram. Users who post images of the poetic itinerary can win shopping vouchers to be used in local stores, encouraging digital interaction with the cultural event.
The celebration will culminate on Saturday, March 21st, with a collective walk to listen to the reading of the displayed poems. The day will end at the J. A. Rabasa Reading and Meditation Square with a poetic vermouth featuring live music and an open mic for public participation.
