Residents of Agramunt using Movistar services have been without mobile coverage since last Saturday, following a technical failure in the power generator that fuels the local telecommunications antenna.

The outage has caused significant frustration in the Urgell region, as similar issues have occurred repeatedly over the past year. Mayor Sílvia Fernàndez reported that the antenna is not connected to the general power grid, making it vulnerable to mechanical failures.

"The antenna has never operated at full capacity and has never managed to offer 5G coverage."

While a temporary fix is expected today, the permanent connection to the electrical grid is not scheduled until March 21st. Local authorities have criticized this timeline, stating that the community cannot wait several weeks for a reliable service.
