A resident of La Seu d’Urgell has been located and assisted by health services after suffering a fall at home and remaining there alone for four days, thanks to citizen collaboration and swift police action.

The incident began when the Senior Citizens' Center alerted the Local Police upon noticing the unusual absence of one of their regular attendees, who had not shown up for days and had not been heard from. Officers went to the person's home, but receiving no answer, they began an investigation by speaking with neighbors and making inquiries at the hospital.
Neighbors confirmed they had not seen the individual for several days, prompting the police to request the intervention of the Fire Department to access the residence. Once inside, they found the man on the floor, unable to get up.
Emergency services evacuated the patient, which necessitated the temporary closure of Sant Ermengol street. According to Local Police sources, the transfer to the hospital was for a necessary check-up, although no fractures were initially detected.
The local police emphasized the importance of citizen collaboration and the coordination among the various emergency services, which ensured that a potentially serious incident ultimately turned out to be a scare.
