Sílvia Guerrero, whose son was murdered last August in Tàrrega, has launched a physical signature drive at the local market in Urgell to demand a reform of the Juvenile Law.

The campaign has already gathered over 62,740 signatures online via Change.org. During the weekly market in Tàrrega, Guerrero collected 248 new signatures from local residents. She plans to submit the petition to the Congress of Deputies in April, marking what would have been her son's birthday.

"A murder is a murder, and the consequences should depend on the severity of the crime and not just the age of the attacker."

The initiative, titled El asesino de mi hijo tenía 17 años: pido revisar ya la Ley del Menor para casos graves, calls for stricter sentencing for serious crimes committed by individuals under 18. The movement gained momentum following a protest in February that drew 300 people to the streets of the town.
