The city of Tàrrega has celebrated the reissue of the novel Intrús a la pols, by William Faulkner, featuring the original translation by Manuel de Pedrolo. The presentation, held at the Tàrrega Urgell Museum, included a revision of the translation by Núria Bendicho and Carles Miró.

During the event, the Councillor for Culture, Miquel Nadal, emphasized the significance of the Catalan language, particularly during times marked by repression and censorship. Nadal highlighted Pedrolo's contribution not only as a writer but also as a translator, facilitating access to works by renowned international authors for the Catalan-speaking public.

This presentation is part of a series of conferences dedicated to Manuel de Pedrolo, which the Tàrrega Urgell Museum initiated last November. This series coincides with the municipal initiative to establish a museum in the writer's family home, located on Carrer Major and donated to the City Council by his daughter, Adelais, in 2021.

Additionally, the Tàrrega Urgell Museum will host a new talk today titled 'Fotografiant la mort' (Photographing Death), as part of the 'Viure la mort' (Living Death) cycle. This conference, delivered by Oriol Bosch, a technician at the Morera Museum, is part of the traveling exhibition 'Viure la mort' by the Network of Museums of the Terres de Lleida and Aran (XMTLA), which can be visited in Tàrrega until June 28 before touring other museums in the network until 2029.
