The Valencian comedian Xavi Castillo returns to Tàrrega this Saturday, January 24, with the show El Ventorro, a biting satire on the management of the DANA crisis in the Valencian Country.

The new event of the 31st Performing Arts Season in Tàrrega this Saturday, January 24, features the play El Ventorro. This piece is a sharp satire about the five-hour lunch maintained by politician Carlos Mazón on October 29, 2024, while the Valencian Country was experiencing one of the biggest catastrophes in its history.
Based on information and anecdotes surrounding the management of the effects of the DANA, Castillo uses his corrosive humor to criticize a political crisis that is currently in the courts and led to Mazón's resignation last November.
Xavi Castillo (Onda, 1967) is an actor and director of the Alcoy-based company Pot de Plom. He is one of the best-known comedians in Valencian humor and has starred in several successful works such as Con la iglesia hemos topao, La bíblia, and Els viatgers del temps.
The artist has performed several times in Tàrrega, where he draws a loyal following. Evidence of this success is that all tickets for the show to be performed at the Teatre Ateneu have already sold out.
Organized by the Department of Culture, the 31st Performing Arts Season merges performing arts and musical shows, offering 16 proposals. The cycle has sold 390 season tickets so far, representing a 20% increase over the previous edition, and has posted 'sold out' signs for several sessions.
