The turquoise-blue 'colla' traveled to Sant Jaume dels Domenys last weekend to take part in the Diada de Quarts Amunt, an initiative by the radio program of the same name from Domenys Ràdio. The event's main goal is to bring 'casteller' culture closer to the public and return the human towers to the town, with the support of the Sant Jaume dels Domenys City Council.
In this 'diada', where camaraderie and popular culture take precedence over competition, the Castellers de Terrassa shared the square with the Castellers de Vilafranca and the Nens del Vendrell. The day began promptly in front of the City Council, marking the return of human towers to this square since the 2012 Major Festival.
The 'colla' from Terrassa completed a notable 'diada', successfully building a pd4 in the first round. Subsequently, they achieved a solid 5d7, their second of the year and performed consecutively. In the second round, they skillfully built the 4d7p, and in the third, they opted for a 4d7, which was delayed due to a previous attempt by the Nens del Vendrell.
The 'casteller' day culminated with the successful building of a pd5 in the pillar round and two pd4s for the farewell pillars. After the performance, the celebration continued with an exhibition of traditional dances from the municipality, a popular lunch, and the musical event «La liada», featuring live performances by the group Xibarri and DJ Jordy Ribé.
