The increase in complaints is reflected in the accumulated data between January and September 2025, with 2,295 cases, 9.5% more than during the same period in 2024. The judicial district of Cerdanyola del Vallès, which includes Montcada i Reixac, Barberà del Vallès, Ripollet, and Badia, registered the lowest number of complaints (127).
The ratio of victims reporting gender violence in Vallès Occidental (17.7) is higher than the Catalan average (16.9).
The ratio of reporting victims per 10,000 women in Vallès Occidental stood at 17.7, surpassing the Catalan average (16.9), but remaining below the Spanish national average (21.5). The Cerdanyola district maintains a lower ratio (13.7).
Regarding protection measures, 10 more protection orders were requested in Cerdanyola than in the previous quarter. However, the number of denied applications rose significantly, from 9 to 24, representing 59% of those processed, consequently reducing accepted applications.
The most common type of complaint across all judicial districts is for injuries and mistreatment. In Cerdanyola, the proportion of women who waived their right to testify against the aggressor was 10.2% in the third quarter of 2025, a reduction of 14.4% compared to the first quarter of the year.
