The 14th edition of the 'Corro contra el Càncer' charity race in Sabadell has achieved a new fundraising record, allocating 27,114 euros to an oncological research project on uterine cancer at Parc Taulí Hospital.

The charity event, held last Sunday, May 31st, gathered 2,420 participants, a 28% increase from the previous year, filling the city's streets with a 'yellow tide'. The data confirms the event's deep roots among citizens, with 81% repeat participants and 19% new registrants. Furthermore, the race attracted 42% of participants from outside Sabadell.
This year, the race moved its epicenter to Parc de Catalunya, within the Observa festival area, with whom a strategic partnership has been established, including activities like yoga and Zumba. New collaborators such as El Corte Inglés have joined the event, facilitating bib collection. The funds raised will be allocated to a study using next-generation sequencing of the mutational profile of endometrial cancer, promoting precision oncology for personalized treatments.
The closing ceremony, held at Maloa Club, served to review the edition and paid tribute to the nearly 200 volunteers and collaborators who made the race possible.
