The Generalitat de Catalunya has launched a call for rental aid for individuals aged 65 or older, with a budget of 19 million euros, which can be applied for from this Tuesday until April 30.

This initiative is designed to support those who, despite not being at imminent risk of residential exclusion, require financial assistance to remain in their homes. The subsidy amount will range between 50 and 200 euros per month, depending on the applicant's income.
For the town of Sant Cugat del Vallès, which is part of the metropolitan area of Barcelona, specific limits have been set for eligible rental costs. The maximum cap is 950 euros per month for a full dwelling and 450 euros for a room. This limit extends to 1,100 euros for large families, single-parent families, or those with disabled members.
A notable new feature this year is the option for an authorized person to submit the online application on behalf of the beneficiary. Procedures can be completed both online, through the Generalitat's portal, and in person at designated service points.
