Incidents at Terrassa's Festa Major: local fines and counterfeit clothing seizure

Terrassa Municipal Police managed several inspections and seized hundreds of fraudulent items during the festive events.

Terrassa's Festa Major proceeded normally, although fines were issued to establishments for selling alcohol to minors and outside permitted hours, and 530 counterfeit items were seized.

The Festa Major in Terrassa concluded with a positive security record, according to the Terrassa City Council's Security service. Despite high participation in events, no significant incidents that disrupted the scheduled activities occurred, which attracted approximately 53,000 spectators.
The Terrassa Municipal Police conducted several inspections of food establishments to ensure compliance with regulations, particularly regarding the sale of alcohol to minors. Four fines were issued to establishments for selling alcoholic beverages outside permitted hours or to individuals under eighteen. Additionally, an administrative report was filed against another establishment for selling a vaporizer to a minor.
Regarding unauthorized street vending and counterfeit products, a total of 530 fraudulent items were seized. Among the confiscated goods were 233 football t-shirts and 117 pairs of trousers, 78 flip-flops, and 32 bags, as well as fanny packs, caps, underwear, and sneakers. This material was transferred to police facilities for destruction.
The Punts Liles (Purple Points), set up in the Vallparadís and La Rasa areas, as well as through mobile teams, assisted 1,283 people during the festival. The majority of those assisted were women (848), followed by men (413) and 22 non-binary individuals. Most interventions involved consultations and information requests, with referrals to specialized services when necessary.
The Gender Policies Service highlighted the absence of complaints for sexist or LGTBI-phobic violence, confirming the effective operation of the initiative and the consolidation of the Punts Liles as a reference service for prevention and awareness.
