The city of Terrassa has seen the birth of a new virtual mascot, 'Sot', created by a well-known Instagram profile, which uses humor to denounce infrastructure problems and potholes on public roads.

A sense of humor and a touch of sarcasm characterize the residents of Terrassa, a trait reflected in various cultural and social initiatives. From satirical newspapers like Xerrameca to associations such as La Xemeneia, humor has become a tool for denouncing issues that concern the community.
Following this trend, the Instagram profile Postureig Egarenc, known for its sarcastic critiques and memes about daily life in Terrassa, has introduced a new figure: 'Sot'. This mascot emerges as a response to the current problem of potholes affecting the city.
Gutenberg street has become the latest site of this issue. Last week, this road, connecting Rambla d'Ègara with Plaça del Progrés, was closed to traffic due to a large pothole on the sidewalk caused by construction work. The risk of the pavement collapsing led to the area being closed off and cordoned.
Capitalizing on this situation, Postureig Egarenc initially presented 'Sot' with a friendlier style, reminiscent of comic strips. However, in a subsequent post, the creator opted for a more 'terrifying' tone, especially after a young VMP rider was seriously injured by a pothole on the Rambla.
The initiative has been well-received by the profile's followers, who have flooded the posts with comments, agreeing on the need to inspect and repair numerous city streets suffering from similar damage.
