Òmnium Cultural Sant Cugat has opened registrations for the second edition of its Catalan podcast contest, Peta el Pod, with the submission period running from April 1 to July 1, 2026.

This initiative, aimed at fostering content creation in the Catalan language, is once again supported by the Sant Cugat City Council, the Ateneu, and the Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística. Participants are required to submit projects entirely in Catalan.
For this year's edition, the organization has announced two significant changes from the previous year. Instead of awarding a first and second general prize, there will be distinct awards for the best videopodcast and the best radiopodcast, aiming to highlight the importance of radio-exclusive formats. The audience award, however, will remain.

The organization will make an effort to welcome projects from across the Catalan Countries, aiming to emphasize the variety of accents within the territory.

In the previous edition, the contest received around twenty proposals. The winning videopodcast for the first prize was A què juguem?, created by Jordi Pota.
