A 34-year-old man, a resident of Sabadell, died this Friday morning after suffering critical injuries in a head-on collision between two cars on the BV-1248 road. The accident occurred at kilometer 5.5 of the route, according to the Servei Català de Trànsit (SCT).
As a result of the impact, the driver of one of the vehicles was critically injured and was taken to the Hospital Parc Taulí, where he later died. The driver of the other car sustained serious injuries and was taken to Mútua de Terrassa.
Four patrols from the Mossos d’Esquadra, three units from the Bombers de la Generalitat, and three ambulances from the Sistema d’Emergències Mèdiques (SEM), along with a joint team from the latter two units, responded to the scene of the incident.
With this fatality, 77 people have now lost their lives in traffic accidents on Catalan roads since the beginning of the year. Of these, 31 were motorcyclists and 28 were occupants of cars, vans, or trucks.
