The city of Rubí played a key role this Saturday at the Nit de les Lletres Catalanes, where local critic Marina Porras won the Muriel Casals Communication Award.

Organized by Òmnium Cultural and the Institut d'Estudis Catalans, this new gala replaces the former Nit de Santa Llúcia. Marina Porras received the award for her work on the show Club Tàndem, shared ex aequo with Editorial Barcino.
The event also recognized Carles Rabassa, who won the prestigious Sant Jordi Novel Prize for Prometeu de mil maneres. Another Rubí native, Carles Dachs, was a finalist for his translation of László Krasznahorkai's work.
