The Works Council of Avanza, the operator of the RubíBus service, met with the Rubí City Council to report the labor instability and safety issues faced by drivers.

According to the CCOO union, employees are demanding an urgent update to bus schedules. Current routes have not been modified since 2014, despite an increase in passengers and reduced urban speed limits, making it impossible to meet timing regulations.

"Trying to maintain the same schedule without considering reality increases the mental burden on staff due to impossible schedules."

Safety is another major concern. Since 2022, staff have warned of increasing vandalism and violent incidents involving minors. In response, the City Council has pledged to implement police monitoring at high-risk locations.
