The Commission of Entities for Public Healthcare has called a demonstration in Terrassa this Saturday morning to demand 100% public and quality healthcare, culminating with the reading of a manifesto in front of the City Hall.

The march, which will begin at 11 AM from the Estació del Nord, will proceed along Passeig del Vint-i-dos de Juliol and Rambla d’Ègara before heading to Raval de Montserrat. From 1 PM, a manifesto is scheduled to be read in front of Terrassa City Hall, prepared by various associations, entities, unions, and political groups from Terrassa, Rubí, Viladecavalls, and Olesa de Montserrat.

The defense of public healthcare is everyone's business.

The organizing entities denounce a

progressive deterioration suffered by the public healthcare system

and criticize that the policies of the Generalitat in recent years have favored privatization and underfunding of the system. Among their demands, they highlight the need to allocate 25% of the budget to Primary Care and the repeal of Law 15/97, which they consider the origin of the privatization process.
Furthermore, the demonstrators demand a family doctor available in less than 48 hours, the reduction of waiting lists, the presence of pediatricians and dentists in all CAPs, and

dignified emergency services

. They also call for the opening of all hospital beds, dignified working conditions for healthcare staff, and significant improvements in mental health care. The demonstration is expected to conclude at 2 PM.
