The Terrassa Modernist Fair is introducing an innovative interactive urban scavenger hunt this year, transforming the city's streets into a game board to discover its rich heritage and textile past.

This new proposal, titled A Walk Through Alexandre de Riquer's Terrassa, has been developed by the Terrassa institute with the Quezmo platform. The initiative invites participants to explore emblematic spaces of Terrassa's modernism while answering questions related to the textile sector of the early 20th century.
The scavenger hunt's storyline involves players helping a character recover their lost design book by overcoming various challenges spread throughout the city. The activity can be enjoyed throughout the fair's weekend via the Quezmo app, available for free on Android and iPhone devices.
The app operates using geolocation: a map of Terrassa displays active challenge points, and when a participant approaches within fifty meters, the challenge automatically activates. Challenges range from word searches related to the textile world to questions about the evolution of firefighter uniforms from the modernist era to the present day.

"The questions are not complicated. Many can be solved by intuition. It is designed for anyone to be able to play."

The scavenger hunt includes eight challenges, allowing participants to accumulate points and compete for prizes for the top-ranked players. In addition to the free-play mode, two special dramatized and guided sessions have been scheduled with students from the performing arts baccalaureate at Torre del Palau institute and members of PAM Teatre, requiring prior registration and having limited spots.
The Quezmo project, which originated from a similar scavenger hunt two years ago, has evolved into a comprehensive platform for creating digital quizzes, contests, and scavenger hunts. The tool, which uses artificial intelligence to generate content, is useful for educational settings, museums, cultural activities, and tourist routes.
