The latest labor market report shows that gender inequality persists in the region. While men earned an average of 31,628 euros, women earned 4,655 euros less. This difference places the wage gap at 14.3%, a figure that confirms a progressive improvement from the 19% recorded in 2022.
In comparative terms, Rubí ranks as the second large city in Vallès Occidental with the lowest pay inequality, surpassed only by Terrassa. In contrast, municipalities such as Sant Cugat (28.2%) and Sabadell (20%) show much sharper differences.
On the other hand, Rubí stands out positively in the feminization of public security. The city is one of three metropolitan areas where women already represent more than 20% of the Local Police force, exceeding the Catalan average of 16%.
