In an extensive interview, the Mayor of Sant Cugat, Josep Maria Vallès (Junts), outlined the mandate's priorities, highlighting improvements to cleaning, sidewalks, and public roads, backed by a 3.5 million euro investment during 2025. He also emphasized public housing and the enhancement of sports facilities, while seeking formulas to prevent an increase in the waste fee in 2026.
The potential annexation of Bellaterra to Sant Cugat has generated intense institutional and neighborhood debate. The Sant Cugat City Council has opened the door to the annexation if the Generalitat authorizes it, supported by technical reports. Deputy Mayor for Institutional Relations, Jordi Puigneró (Junts), called for institutional respect, noting that the process was initiated by Bellaterra residents.

In the health sector, the Minister of Health confirmed that the future day hospital, which will serve Sant Cugat, Rubí, and Castellbisbal and will be located in Rubí, will not be operational until 2032 at the earliest.
