The Sala Josep Brossa at La Patronal was the venue on Saturday, October 10th, for an emotional evening celebrating the tenth anniversary of the group Blue Apples. The event, hosted by Toni Guillamon, combined live music, solidarity, and social awareness, successfully raising 2,000 euros for the social inclusion projects of Actuavallès for homeless people.
One of the most significant moments of the night was the intervention of four users of Actuavallès' projects, who shared their experiences and personal situations with the audience. These testimonies highlighted the importance of raising awareness about the realities faced by homeless individuals.
In total, twelve users from Actuavallès' projects attended the concert. They actively participated by preparing Moroccan tea and other infusions, and set up a solidarity stall with products they made themselves, such as painted cloth bags and small olive trees. They also sold raffle tickets for the Christmas lottery and CDs donated by Blue Apples.
The concert also served to celebrate the career of Blue Apples, a band formed in 2015 and deeply connected to the cultural life of Sant Quirze del Vallès. With a repertoire blending jazz, bossa nova, swing, blues, and soul, the group offered a celebration of their ten years of music.
The proceeds of 1,920 euros, rounded up to 2,000 by the Ateneu del Món, will go to the social inclusion projects for homeless people run by Actuavallès. The organization works towards social inclusion, support for vulnerable individuals, and the defense of rights and diversity.
The event, organized by the Ateneu del Món and the Sant Quirze del Vallès City Council, with the collaboration of the Barcelona Provincial Council, became a musical celebration and a space for meeting, awareness, and solidarity.
