Enrique Casado, a rheumatologist at Parc Taulí and a resident of Sant Quirze del Vallès for 20 years, has rediscovered his passion for painting, exhibiting a reinterpretation of the Plaça de la Vila during the Festa Major.

Casado, who works at Parc Taulí in Sabadell, moved to Sant Quirze two decades ago seeking the tranquility of a village lifestyle. His connection to the municipality dates back to his childhood, when he used to cycle to the Fleca de la Conxita.
His passion for drawing and painting, set aside during his medical studies, has recently been rekindled through his involvement with the Grup TT –Traç i Taca–. This group offers classes on Carrer Nou, a street Casado associates with his childhood memories.
One of his works, a painting of the Plaça de la Vila, was selected in the draw for the collective exhibition during the Festa Major. This brought him great joy after more than 25 years without painting an oil canvas. The artwork depicts a landmark space for the residents of Sant Quirze.
Being part of Grup TT has allowed Casado to reclaim an important part of his life, helping him disconnect from the intensity of his medical profession. He draws parallels between painting and medicine, highlighting the importance of observation, clue-seeking, and decision-making in both fields.
