The Canovelles Giants Group is organizing this gathering for the first time. It will begin at 11 AM with a parade from the Font del Mil·lenari to the Plaça de la Joventut, showcasing traditional Catalan dances.
At midday, around 2 PM, a popular rice meal ('arrossada popular') is planned in Plaça de la Joventut. Tickets, priced at 7 euros, can be purchased on October 14th and 15th from 4:30 PM to 7 PM at Can Palots.
The main event starts at 5:30 PM with the 'plantada' (erecting) of the giants and a parade through the town's streets. The groups will enter the square accompanied by the Brassalla Band, followed by the Balla Vallès, symbolizing the symbolic handover of the regional giant capital title, and the Bandalada to proclaim Cisqueta as the 'Pubilla' (Maiden) of Vallès 2026.
As a new feature this year, there will be a joint dance with all the 'Pubilles' who have held the title throughout history. The gathering will conclude with a shared dance among all participating groups and will also mark the end of the 35th-anniversary celebrations for Carles and Cisqueta.
In parallel, on Tuesday, October 6th, the exhibition 'Elsavbis de la comarca' will open at Can Palots. Until October 16th, it will display unique giant figures from the Vallès region, such as the Giants of Montornès del Vallès, Sant Ponç of Cànoves i Samalús, and the municipal Giants of Barberà del Vallès.
