412 Granollers Students Take University Entrance Exams

A total of 412 students from Granollers' high schools began the University Entrance Exams (PAU) this Tuesday, which will continue until Thursday and are key for accessing higher education.

The city of Granollers has hosted the start of the University Entrance Exams (PAU) with the participation of 412 students from various educational centers in the locality. The exams, which began on Tuesday, will continue until Thursday and represent a crucial step for young people seeking access to university studies.
Participating schools include Antoni Cumella (32 students), Celestí Bellera (85), Escola Municipal del Treball (57 from baccalaureate and 19 from vocational training), Cervetó (55), Carles Vallbona (56 from baccalaureate and 7 from vocational training), Escola Pia (71), and Educem (23 from baccalaureate and 7 from vocational training). The total figure of 412 students is very similar to last year's, when 409 students participated, despite the increased offering in vocational training.
The exam is divided into two phases. The compulsory phase includes four core subjects: Catalan language, Spanish language, foreign language, and history or history of philosophy, in addition to a modality subject. The voluntary phase allows students to take up to three additional exams to improve their score.
Furthermore, in Les Franqueses, a total of 73 students are taking the PAU, divided between Institut Lauro (42 students) and El Til·ler (31 students).
