Mollet Presents 82 Courses for Seniors with Over 31% Free

The Mercat Vell in Mollet del Vallès will host on Tuesday September 15 the presentation of the 2026-2027 season of activities, courses, and workshops for seniors, featuring 82 programs with over 31% free of charge.

This Tuesday, September 15, at 5:30 PM, the Mercat Vell in Mollet will be the venue for the presentation of the new season's activities, courses, and workshops aimed at the municipality's seniors. The program includes a total of 82 courses for those over 55 years old, of which more than 31% will be free. The remaining paid courses will be subsidized based on family income.
The event will be attended by the Mayor of Mollet del Vallès, Mireia Dionisio Calé, and the Councilor for Senior Citizens, Maria Josefa Muñoz Pareja. The event, open to all seniors in the municipality, aims to publicize the program, provide additional information, and detail the registration procedure.
The City Council, in collaboration with local entities, offers 80 courses and workshops in various formats to seniors over 55: 59 annual, 15 quarterly, and 6 monographic. Of these, 25 will be taught by seniors from the knowledge volunteer program, while the rest will be led by professional instructors.
During the presentation, a promotional video showcasing the new offerings will be screened, and information will be provided on the new course, the appointment system for registrations, payment calculations, and subsidies. Attendees' questions will also be addressed.
The video will also be broadcast on Vallès Visió on September 10, 12, 13, and 14 at various times.
Registrations for annual courses (starting October 5), quarterly courses (starting October 5), and monographic courses (from October 8) will be available in person and online on September 21, 22, and 23, from 3:30 PM to 7 PM. For in-person registrations, an appointment must be made by calling 93 571 95 15 according to the workshop: September 16 for Personal skills and expression; September 17 for New technologies and Humanities; and September 18 for Health and personal growth and Expression. The appointment service will be available from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM.
Online registrations can be made on the same days and times through the municipal website.
Among this year's new offerings are courses such as 'English from scratch', 'Literacy' at CIRD Joana Barcala, 'Kintsugi', 'Fundamentals of home well-being', 'A brief history of political ideas', 'Healthy Core', 'Emotional DIY: identifying and valuing our strengths', 'Online resources for daily life', and 'Video editing and digital creation'.
