Sprinter Oriol Madí, representing Santa Maria de Palautordera, secured his place in the 400m final during the opening day of the Spanish Indoor Championships in Valencia.

The Catalan delegation celebrated its first medal thanks to Ivet Rovira. The l'Hospitalet Atletisme athlete earned bronze in the pentathlon with a personal best of 3,935 points, climbing the standings after a dominant performance in the 800m race.
In other events, Pol Ferrer currently holds second place in the heptathlon after four events. Meanwhile, Sara Gallego joined Madí in qualifying for the 400m finals, and Clara Gabaldon finished sixth in the long jump with a personal best of 6.23m.
