The ninth edition of the Vallèsbot project will culminate with the presentation of student work at the Palau d'Esports de Granollers this Friday. The event coincides with the International Congress of Educating Cities, highlighting robotics as a tool to improve the lives of people with functional diversity and promote more inclusive cities.

The inter-municipal initiative Vallèsbot, now in its ninth year, uses robotics for social transformation, skills-based learning, and fostering technological vocations. This year's theme was "A City for Everyone," encouraging students to devise technological solutions for everyday challenges.

A total of 820 students from thirty educational centers in Granollers, la Roca, Canovelles, and les Franqueses have participated in this edition. In Granollers alone, 450 students from 16 centers took part. Last year, the project involved 720 students from 28 centers.

The project, initiated in the 2017-2018 academic year to inspire technological vocations through robotics, has become a regional benchmark. It is a collaborative effort between educational centers, the Department of Education (via the Centre de Recursos Pedagògics del Vallès Oriental), and the participating municipalities, which provide logistical and organizational support. Granollers serves as the host municipality for this edition.
