The Association of Municipalities for Mobility and Urban Transport (AMTU) is conducting a European pilot test in Granollers and Mollet, from Christmas until late May, to integrate parcel distribution with the e13 bus line.

The Association of Municipalities for Mobility and Urban Transport (AMTU) is actively participating in the European project NanoHub Zone. This initiative seeks to develop and implement smart logistics micro-platforms, known as NanoHubs, strategically located near train or bus stations to optimize goods transshipment.
The tests in Vallès Oriental will take place in Granollers and Mollet starting from the Christmas holidays until the end of May. The express bus line e13, operated by Cingles Bus (part of the Sagalés Group), which connects Mataró, Granollers, and Sabadell, was selected due to its regular frequencies.
The system involves transporting parcels in the bus luggage compartment, utilizing existing routes to avoid additional trips by dedicated transport vehicles. The NanoHubs will function as modular transshipment points for last-mile distribution to shops, homes, or businesses.
The main objective of this pilot test is to improve logistics optimization and urban sustainability by reducing the pressure of motorized vehicles in central and low-emission zones. The results obtained in Granollers and Mollet will be used to establish implementation parameters and correct incidents for future expansion to other municipalities.
