Alt Empordà Fills with Cultural and Festive Activities This Weekend

The region offers a wide agenda with concerts, theater, fairs, guided tours, and major festivals for all audiences.

The weekend of April 25 and 26, 2026, Alt Empordà is set to host an extensive program of activities, including cultural, musical, and festive proposals for all ages.

The region offers a diverse agenda ranging from concerts and theatrical performances to fairs, guided tours, and major festival celebrations. The towns of Cadaqués, Camallera, Castelló d'Empúries, L'Escala, Figueres, La Jonquera, Llançà, Maçanet de Cabrenys, Palau-Saverdera, El Port de la Selva, Peralada, Roses, Torroella de Fluvià, Viladamat, and Vilanova de la Muga will be the setting for these events.
On Saturday, April 25, Cadaqués will host the 45th Cultural Week with a performance by singer-songwriter Cece Giannotti and a route to learn about the history of Anna Maria Dalí. In Camallera, the Spring Festival will include games for children and young people, a children's show with Carles Cuberas, and a youth night with Els Rancis and DJ Kurba. Castelló d'Empúries proposes a landscape dance activity in the community gardens and an itinerant recreation of the legend of Sant Jordi.
In L'Escala, visitors can enjoy a virtual tour of Empúries and a literary-musical event in memory of Avi Xaxu, in addition to a sardana dance. Figueres will concentrate much of the activity with the 41st Figueres City Judo Trophy, a paddle tennis tournament, guided tours of the Rambla's subsoil and on the relationship between Dalí and Lorca, and the inauguration of the exhibition Objectiu Meli. There will also be storytelling, family concerts, a playback show, the fair procession, a children's chess tournament, choral concerts, and the proclamation of the Fires i Festes de la Santa Creu, culminating with the Nit del foc and concerts at Espai El Rampell.
On Sunday, April 26, activities will continue with dancing in Agullana and a hike in Albanyà followed by the presentation of the book Roques i baumes viscudes by Ernest Costa. Camallera will celebrate the main festival mass, sardanas, and a concert with Sharazan. Castelló d'Empúries will host the 9th Women's Race and Darnius the V Turtle March. In Figueres, guided tours of the Basses del Terrisser will take place, along with a Canine Festival, the 4th sports, cultural, and family gymkhana, the 32nd Lace Makers' Gathering, a festival at Castell de Sant Ferran, and a tribute to 90-year-old Figueres residents. There will also be a historical route of the Civil War, family theater, activities from the Casa Cultural de Andalucía, the 79th Sardana Groups Competition, circus, dances, and habaneras.
Other proposals include a guided tour of the MUME and bunkers in La Jonquera, Llucià Ferrer's Vermut and a musical show in Llançà, the Empordà Wine Exhibition in Roses, the 38th Sant Pere Pescador March, and dances in Vilabertran and Viladamat.
