The jury praised the 900-page work, published by Edicions Flâneur, for its scientific quality and modern approach. Ayensa, a former director of the Cervantes Institute in Athens, shared the award with Egyptian translator Khaled Raouf.

Currently leading the Empúries Learning Center, Ayensa is a prominent member of the Academy of Athens. His extensive career includes translations of other major Greek poets such as Ritsos and Seferis, solidifying his role as a bridge between Greek and Catalan cultures.
