The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested a minor in Figueres during the early hours of March 6 following a reckless high-speed chase in a van stolen from France.

The incident began on the N-II highway in Llers, where officers were conducting a sobriety checkpoint. The driver attempted to evade the police by making U-turns before driving through the traffic cones and fleeing toward the center of Figueres.
The chase ended when the van crashed into a metal bollard. Police discovered the driver was an unlicensed minor who subsequently tested positive for THC. Further checks revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen in France.
The teenager faces charges for reckless driving, driving without a license, and vehicle theft. He has been summoned to appear before the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office.
