The interruption of the railway service occurred early in the morning due to a failure affecting the traffic regulation system at Vilamalla station. This incident caused the circulation to be cut off on the section connecting with Figueres.

Once the incident was resolved, trains on the RG1 and R11 lines have begun to progressively recover their usual schedules, as reported by Renfe.

Despite the restoration of the service, the railway company maintains an alternative road service between Figueres and Maçanet Massanes to cover the first few runs and minimize disruption to passengers.
