The agreement includes the incorporation of two specialists from Bellvitge University Hospital, who will travel to the region to conduct in-person consultations and echocardiograms. This initiative brings Bellvitge's expertise closer to local patients and represents a step forward in collaboration between hospital centers.
The collaboration also aims to strengthen the CSAPG's Cardiology teams, enhance clinical knowledge and experience, and advance the improvement of care processes. Joint work will allow for the review of care pathways and the consensus of clinical criteria, prioritizing equity and patient accessibility.
Furthermore, coordination will be improved, and patient referrals between hospitals will be facilitated, while also fostering research and teaching among professionals from both centers. This collaboration will contribute to developing high-quality, coordinated cardiac care tailored to the needs of patients in Alt Penedès and Garraf.
This alliance is part of the CSAPG's strategy to establish partnerships with reference hospitals to enhance its teams' capabilities, promote professional development, and improve the healthcare services offered to citizens.
