LIAM, which stands for “Your Municipal Artificial Intelligence”, will be available through the municipal website and WhatsApp (at number 722 239 060). This service complements OAC360, the telephone service for personalized support that has been operational since April.
The aim of this new tool is to bring technology closer to citizens and simplify interaction with the local administration. The virtual assistant can provide guidance on the steps required for electronic procedures and answer general queries at any time, without being dependent on in-person or telephone service hours.
The Mayor of Montcada i Reixac, Bartolo Egea, highlighted that "with the new artificial intelligence assistant, we are taking another step towards a more modern, accessible, and citizen-friendly administration. We want to leverage the possibilities offered by AI to make citizens' daily lives easier, simplify procedures, and make interacting with the City Council increasingly straightforward".
The Councilor for Citizen Attention, Rafa Ruiz, emphasized the complementary nature of LIAM and OAC360: "we are providing citizens with two complementary tools: an intelligent assistance available at all hours and a personalized support service for those who need guidance. We want no one to be left behind in electronic procedures and for everyone to be able to choose how they want to interact with the City Council, combining technological innovation with human interaction".
While LIAM offers 24/7 intelligent assistance, OAC360 provides personalized support from a team of professionals from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, at the phone number 93 595 48 02.
