More than 300 students from various educational centers in Alt Urgell and Cerdanya traveled to Barcelona this Wednesday to enjoy the show La cuina de Rossini at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

This cultural outing is part of the Liceu als centres initiative, a program that has been extended to the Alt Pirineu i Aran region for the first time. The project is supported by the Catalan Government's departments of Culture and Education, aiming to bring performing arts to rural environments.
The day at the iconic theater on the Rambla included educational workshops and activities to discover the creative process and the inner workings of a major cultural institution. Previously, the LiceuAprèn team visited the region to train over 150 teachers, providing them with tools to integrate opera into their school projects.
Participating schools from Alt Urgell include centers from ZER Urgellet, ZER Narieda, and schools in Oliana and Bellver de Cerdanya. The collaboration will continue in March with artist visits to the schools and a second trip in June for secondary students to see La Torre dels Somnis.
