The Espai Ermengol-City Museum in La Seu d'Urgell has unveiled El formatge que ens uneix, a new inclusive project designed to make culture accessible to everyone.

Developed in partnership with Integra Pirineus Foundation and Club Social El Picot, the initiative trains individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges to serve as museum guides. This program aims to place people at the heart of cultural activity while providing a unique and diverse perspective on the Alt Urgell region's cheese-making traditions.

"It is a clear example of how culture can be a tool for participation and inclusion."

Gemma Tó · Deputy Mayor of La Seu d'Urgell
Beyond the tours, the museum has upgraded its facilities to improve cognitive accessibility, ensuring the exhibits are easier to understand for all visitors. Free public tours led by Thatiana, Clara, and Imma are scheduled for Saturday, February 21st, and Thursday, February 26th.
