The second phase of the project involved exhaustive fieldwork to map risks in spaces where children and adolescents spend their daily lives. Technical visits were carried out at educational centers, sports and cultural facilities, as well as various public amenities and services frequented by minors in La Seu d’Urgell.
The main goal of this analysis is “to analyze the environment from a protection perspective to prevent situations of harassment, mistreatment, or sexual abuse,” explained the Councillor for Childhood and Youth, Christina Moreno.
“"The dialogue initiated in the service of child and adolescent protection allows us to be more conscious, critical, and proactive."
For the deployment of the plan, the council is advised by Espirales, a specialized consultancy in childhood matters. This collaboration aims to provide the municipality with early detection tools for violence and develop a city protocol allowing all involved agents to act coherently and coordinatedly.
Once the on-site diagnostic phase is complete, Espirales professionals will send a detailed report. This document will serve as a roadmap for implementing structural and organizational improvements in municipal activities and spaces in La Seu d’Urgell.
