The Porté-Estop butcher shop from Vilaller won all three awards at the first national competition for 'escudella' ingredients held this Monday in Girona.

The establishment, located in the Alta Ribagorça region, dominated the contest at the Girona Gastronomic Forum. They received top honors for their black sausage, their meat balls (pilota), and the best combination of both traditional products.

"We are very excited and grateful to be recognized in a leading place with high-level gastronomy."
