The El Bruc City Council has reopened the Municipal Roads Inventory process and extended the public information period, responding to sharp criticism from the Catalan Federation of Forest Owners' Associations.

The decision by the El Bruc City Council comes after the Catalan Federation of Forest Owners' Associations of Catalonia (BOSCAT) and the Association of Forest Owners Entorns de Montserrat demanded the document's withdrawal. The entities cite a lack of technical rigor and absence of prior consultation with affected property owners.

The entity denounces a lack of technical rigor, absence of on-site verification, and lack of prior dialogue with the affected property.

The council maintains that the inventory is a technical document initiated in previous mandates, requested from the Diputació de Barcelona on April 1, 2019. The municipal government states the goal is to improve the management and maintenance of municipal roads, denying that its purpose is to declare ownership.
After the document formally arrived on July 12, 2024, the municipal plenary initially approved the inventory on November 19, 2025. Due to the number of allegations received, the corporation has decided to extend the public exposure period and has called an informative meeting for January 19 at the Plenary Hall of the City Council.
