The action involved the renewal of pipes in four sections, two within the urban center and two more in the municipal area. This intervention addresses identified needs in the municipality, both for detected water leaks and to improve safety for some residents.
As part of the project, the Carrer Ravalet has been newly asphalted after the pipe replacement work was completed, in order to restore the pavement affected by the works and improve the condition of the street.
The project is largely funded by a subsidy of €257,893.27 from the Catalan Water Agency (ACA), under the aid line «Improvement of low-pressure water supply networks and digitalization». The City Council submitted two projects for this call: pipe replacement and water network digitalization.
The total cost of the pipe replacement works, including certifications, modified budget, project drafting, and site supervision, amounts to €289,285.03 (VAT included).
Through this initiative, the Els Prats de Rei City Council continues to work on improving municipal infrastructure, optimizing water resources, and ensuring a more efficient and safe water supply service, while also enhancing the condition of the municipality's public roads.
