Third-year ESO students from Institut Lacetània in Manresa are organizing Community Service projects to promote the playful use of the Catalan language in local primary schools.

The project, titled “You can make a difference!”, is part of the mandatory Community Service for 3rd ESO students. Its main goal is to step outside the classroom routine and generate a real social impact in Manresa.
Students at Institut Lacetània work in small groups to create adapted educational materials. One key project is Juguem amb l’ortografia (Let's Play with Spelling), focused on the Middle and Upper Cycles of Escola Pare Algué.
The other prominent proposal is Conta-contes Lacetània (Lacetània Storytelling), aimed at children in Early Childhood Education and the Initial Cycle of Escola Renaixença. This activity involves narrating a story followed by age-appropriate activities based on the tale.

Community Service is seen as an opportunity to learn and value education as a real tool for social transformation.

This methodology not only benefits primary schools but also positively impacts the high school students, helping them develop essential skills such as responsibility, empathy, autonomy, and self-confidence.
