The Manresa City Council will present the Health Quality Seal on Monday, January 19, to 25 establishments, including 19 restaurants and, for the first time, six bakeries with their own workshop, at the Casino assembly hall.

This pioneering local administration initiative aims to recognize and encourage businesses to maintain hygienic practices that exceed official controls, thereby offering an additional guarantee of consumer confidence. In this fourth edition, the number of recognized restaurants (19) has increased by five compared to last year.

Obtaining the Food Safety Quality Seal guarantees the maintenance of correct hygienic-sanitary conditions and fosters a culture of safety within the work team.

The award ceremony, scheduled for 10 AM, will be attended by various authorities, such as the Councillor for Sports and Health, Anjo Valentí Moll, and the Deputy for Commerce, Consumption and Public Health of the Diputació de Barcelona, Samuel Núñez Amela.
In addition to the recognition, the event will feature a lecture by Dr. Rafel Pérez Vidal, a specialist in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases expert, and will conclude with a surprise artistic performance.
To obtain the QS Seal, establishments undergo an exhaustive control assessing aspects such as facility cleanliness, temperature management, food preparation, vegetable disinfection, and staff knowledge. The entire process is free and includes advice to help correct detected deficiencies.
