The Manresa City Council has announced traffic alterations and street closures on Passeig de la República between February 5 and 9, 2026, due to ongoing pavement improvement works.

The works, which began on January 26, aim to improve the reinforced concrete pavement over an area of 288 m² and are estimated to last one month, with a cost of 29,538.79 euros. The Council had initially indicated that the works would be carried out while maintaining vehicle traffic, but alterations have finally been introduced.
The first major disruption occurs from Thursday, February 5, until Monday, February 9, with the closure of access from Carrer d'Arbonés to Passeig de la República. This measure requires modifying the direction of circulation on Carrer de Santa Maria, allowing vehicles coming from Plaça de Palmira Jaquetti Isant (Music Conservatory) to drive towards Carrer de Sant Francesc.
Furthermore, on Saturday, February 7, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., vehicle access will be completely cut off on Passeig de la República, specifically in the section between Carrer d'Arbonés and Plaça de la Reforma.
During the Saturday closure, vehicles traveling through Plaça de Llisach or Carrer de Talamanca will be diverted along Passeig de la República towards Plana de l'Om and Carrer de Vilanova. The City Council also confirmed that the photographic access control system (photo-fines) will not be operational throughout this period of disruption.
